CREWKERNE RUNNING CLUB
Crewkerne 10K 2013 race over. We hope you all enjoyed the event. We hope to get the results on this site ASAP but are having a few problems! However, here are pictures of just about everybody courtesy of Dave Symes. Pictures ---------------------------------------- See dedicated page. We shall be able to offer entries on the day but with a £2 premium for adults. If you have entered and not had an email confirmation please do not worry. Due to the high workload the entry team have not been able to email each and every entrant. ------------------------------ AVR Grizzly 2013. Another good event with CRC members in the Grizzly and the Cub races also marshaling at Hole House behind Branscombe. Well done all competitors, it was supposed to be the hardest yet in 26 years and what I saw confirmed that. Took loads of pictures while marshaling but taking too long to upload and too long to edit so just a taster here but all the club members and lots of our friends. Click HERE for pictures. ____________________________ We organise a 21 mile supported training run around the Somerset Levels 3 weeks before the London Marathon aimed at people competing in that event. Visitor are welcome and there is a dedicated page on this site with details. Date of run is Sunday 31 March, bring your Easter Eggs!! ____________________________ 2013 promises to be an exciting year for the club. Starting from Tuesday January 8th we shall be meeting at the new George Reynolds Sports Centre at Henhayes where we will have a place to meet, change and shower which promises to be warm and dry and a big step up from the car park which we have used for years. Also starting in January we have a new team responsible for the newsletter. After two years of producing the newsletter Simon Land has decided to take a break. I believe it is fair to say that the newsletter emails which Simon circulated around have done more to promote the club to members old and new than any other activity. many thanks Simon and good luck to the new team. You can help by sending articles, race reports, photos or anything of interest to:- crewkernercnews@gmail.com The club newsletters are archived on the 'news' page of this site. This has now been updated and will be kept up to date. ------------------------------------ IMPORTANT! If you are a club member and have not been receiving the newsletter email to the address above and it will be sorted. ------------------------------- To join the club download an application form from the 'Join us' page. If you have had problems downloading a CRC application form there is a revised version available which should work! See the 'Join us' page -------------------------- CRC help out with the Crewkerne Junior Triathlon on June 30th Click HERE for an entry form. ---------------------------------------- NOTE. If you wish to contact us using the guestbook page is quicker and more reliable. See the news page for the latest newsletters. ------------------------------------ Just done some housekeeping on this page but any of the deleted material can be found in the relevant newsletter on the news page.

Crewkerne is a small market town in South Somerset which is surrounded by some of the most scenic countryside in Britain. There are also a number of villages situated around Crewkerne and close enough to create a large catchment area for members. Crewkerne Running Club members are very privileged to have access to this beautiful area via a vast network of public footpaths and quiet country lanes for our training runs.
We currently have over 100 paid up members who enjoy club runs up to three times a week and various social events throughout the year.
The club organises four major events throughout the year which members can run in or help with the organisation.
Anyone who may be interested in joining the club is very welcome to come along and run with us and take part in events before joining with no pressure. Thursday night is traditionally 'beginers night' which should be a relaxed gentle run. We want potential members to know exactly what we do and how we do it. If you wish to join please complete the application form on the 'Join Us' page.
